I need information about screen printing?
I have started a small clothing business, so far all my stuff has been screen printed T’s and this will always be a part of the business. I purcahse the shirts from suppliers, I create a graphics using Illustrator CS and then take the idea to a screen printing business and have it finished. I would like to start doing to screen printing myself in order to save money and have more control over the finished product. I have never worked with screen printing so what should I know about it? Also I’m looking for answers about the following:
What equipment do I need for the work place?
Cost for a adequate set-up?
Difficulty of screen printing?
Names of good quality inks and equipment?
Any ideas or comments about the situation?

Wanted to let you know of a few other options for you besides screenprinting. 1. Direct Print, there are a few printers out in the market place now that do a great job, I would recomend a DTG printer, cost of the printer is around 17k, little more than a typical screenprinting equipment, however the savings on the screens, and wasted ink will more than make up for the initial cost.
2. There is a transfer paper on the market that allows you to print (inkjet printer) onto the paper and transfer the image via heatpress (400 F for 30 seconds). The paper is called “Translution Paper.”
